 As a dedicated and honest realtor I work hard to make sure my clients find the perfect home.  I am also passionate about helping abandoned and abused animals find the perfect home.

In May, 2004 I adopted Kobe (pictured here) from an animal shelter.  Kobe has brought so much love and joy into my home, that I could not imagine my life without him. 

I hope that I can help you find your dream home and help these loving animals find their dream homes too.

Do you have the time and space to provide temporary homes for dogs and puppies until permanent loving homes are found? If so, your help and care are needed. These dogs and pups in need include healthy, sick or injured animals; as well as those that would otherwise be euthanized at the shelter due to limited capacity. 

 Foster parents become familiar with the unique personality of their foster animal, and can provide information that can be
valuable in placing the foster in their perfect 'forever home'. What could be more rewarding than to help create a “happy ever after” ending? 

 Foster homes need only provide food, shelter and love. All vetting is provided by the Humane Society. It's best if you live in Cherokee, Cobb, Bartow, Gilmer, etc. but we will work with you if you will work with us!

AVAILABLE ALFIE - Alfie is a wonderful 3-4 yr old Flat Coat Retriever who was rescued from a very rural shelter. The plan was for him to be a therapy dog but he decided he would rather just be a family dog. Sweet Alfie was neglected but despite it all is still a good dog.  Alfie is fine with dogs of all sizes  and enjoys rides in the car. A fenced yard is preferred. He just wants a home of his own!  But right now he would even settle for a foster home as he is currently in boarding.  He seeks a home without young children

Available for adoption BONNIE - Bonnie is a beautifu; brown and white Pit Bull and weighs approximately 50 pounds. She was rescued from a local shelter. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Bonnie does wonderful with people and loves kids. She also does great with all of her foster dog brothers with no signs of aggression of any kind. Bonnie is only a year old . She bonds very quickly which is a characteristic of the breed. She likes to be close to her owners. She is also crate trained and enjoys her time in there when she must be alone. Bonnie is also housebroken. She knows her "sit" commands but usually turns that into a time for "belly rubs". Bonnie seeks a home with a securely fenced in yard. AVAILABLE Emmy - 2 year old female yellow lab mix who is very loving (despite what she has been through). She is smaller than she looks in photos. Smart, pays attention to you, comes when she is called, quiet but very playful with the other dogs. Enjoys climbing into your lap. Very good around other dogs, enjoys a round of "chase me" and wrestling. Emmy came to us half bald with a case of severe generalized demodex mange and a secondary skin infection that she is being treated for. Her road to recovery may be long, but she is taking to all the medicals like a trooper. Even in the pain she is in, she still wags her tail at you. CHYNA Chyna is a wonderful 7 yr old 20 lb purebred Red Shiba Inu. She came into foster care b/c her family couldn't take care of her any longer. Sweet Chyna has some major skin issues we are trying to work out and we think they are allergy based. Despite major issues with her skin she is THE sweetest dog. She loves everyone no matter what. Chyna is spayed, heartworm tested negative, vaccinated and microchipped. We are taking applications for pre-adoption good size.

AVAILABLE CHESTER - Chester is the cutest Shepher mix who sat at a local shelter for many weeks – he just kept getting overlooked day after day. Oh, don’t get us wrong, it had nothing to do with his personality or behavior. It’s just easy to miss a calm, brown dog in a shelter environment. Fortunately, Chester had befriended the shelter staff and lots of volunteers. He won their hearts - so they worked really hard to get him out. They worried about him…. He was getting skinnier every day from the stress of shelter life. He was really yearning for a home. Fortunately, CCHS stepped up to help him and he just couldn’t be happier. Chester is estimated to be 8 years old – but is probably younger. He’s bigger than he looks in his photos – maybe around 50 lbs or so. He’s mostly tan all over and his ears stand up like he’s got his very own radar station perched atop his head. He’s a super sweet kid with an adorable smile and the cutest little round head you’ve ever seen. He’s just awesome with other dogs – and he has no issues with dog savvy cats, seems to like them in fact. He is fully house-trained and very, very well-behaved. He’s the kind of dog you’d want your kids to grow up with. Chester loves to be with you and, as it turns out, he is a Class-A snuggler – he likes to be right beside you – really close - even sharing your pillow if you let him. Chester’s previous family said they couldn’t keep him because he wouldn’t stay in their fenced yard... so to be safe, he probably needs a tall fence or a family dedicated to leash walking him. He has shown no signs of trying to escape his foster home’s yard, so we think he really just needed to be included in family activities and not banished outside alone. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION        wittle13@yahoo.com KITO & KODA- These sweet wonderful boys were forced by divorce to find a new home back in May and now are being forced to find another new home, lets make sure its forever this time!!  KEY STATISTICS: 4 and 6 year old male Shiba Inus 25 and 30 pounds, House trained, Crate trained, Leash Trained These dogs are best friends! They are a bonded pair, so we would like them to be adopted together. Kito is a beautiful six -year old cream shiba (30 lbs) who loves to sleep in the sun most of the day. His favorite place is outside! Kito is shy with strangers, but once he warms up is very loving and affectionate. He loves to lick and gives kisses to his favorite people. Koda is a four -year old red sesame shiba (25 lbs) who loves to play. His favorite game is fetch, though he is just as likely to take the toy he s caught and chew on it as he is to bring it back. He is a ball of energy who will curl up next to you after a tough day. Koda and Kito chase each other around the yard for hours - they are adorable when they play. They love to wrestle and are always trying out new moves on each other. They entertain themselves and their lucky owners for hours on end. They are most active in the early evenings, and love to go on long walks at the trails. They are great with kids, though Koda does not get along with other dogs who are not Kito -- though if properly and slowly introduced he may be okay. They both come at the sound of their names (or anytime you open the treat jar) and are excellent sitters. They are best suited to a family environment, a home with a small to medium yard, and prefer to be with people than left alone. Their smiling faces are the best remedy for a hard day at work, and they are always excited to see you and welcome you home. They are wonderful dogs, and are the innocent victims of their divorce and the economy. They are a bonded pair, so must be adopted together. AVAILABLE COKIE - Cokie is a tiny and adorably cute Yorkie, around 5 lbs, and about 10 years old. She was an owner surrender who felt that "small dogs have no use so destroy her." Fortunately, she was not destroyed and Cokie is of great use. While very sweet, she is also a frightened little girl and desparate for attention. She follows her foster Mom around constantly for fear she'll be abandoned again, and loves to sit in her lap. Because of her small size, it is recommended she be in a home without small children. AVIALBLE FOR ADOPTION LEAH - Have you always wanted a Lab but really felt an average sized Lab was too large to be a good fit for you? Well we have just the girl for you! Meet Leah. She's a real shorty -- a Compact Lab! She's part Lab and part something with really short legs... probably Corgi or Bassett . Can you say "adorable"? This sweet 3-year-old is house-trained, great with cats and loves other dogs... although new dogs can make her nervous at first. She loves to snuggle with you and her favorite spot is right beside your feet when you're working or watching TV. She's not super active but she really enjoys chasing and wrestling with her foster brothers, and she loves getting to take trips with you in the car. Leah is really an awesome girl. AVAILABLE SPARKLES  - My name is Sparkles and I am a Yorkshire Terrier, about 6 lbs maybe about 15 years old and an overweight little girl.  I've been abandoned about 3 miles into a hiking path in a forest preserve, no houses nor camping nearby. I could not have found my ay that far alone as I'm too afraid to go that far.  I don't know why my owners put me there.  Sometimes they think you put a dog out to walk and find a place to die but I'm not ready to die.  I'm just a senior girl.  I'm cute and very sweet. I'm getting vetted next week and will know the extent of  medical problems I might have.  It's obvious I cannot see well nor hear well but can see and hear some.  We're not sure if I have arthritis but there is something going on.  Foster Mom has me on a schedule to lose weight.  I have been such a good girl so I don't know why I've been abandoned in a forest preserve hiking path for my owners to forget all about me.  So I need a new home and .someone who will love and care for me the rest of my life. AVAILABLE Xena is an adorable 3 yr old 25 lb sweetheart who appears to be mix of Carolina Dog and Basenji. And her pictures don't do her justice, she is so much cuter in person! Everyone is Xena's friend - dogs, people, even cats (although the cats dont actually want to be her friend- she just loves everybody. Xena is crate trained and housetrained. She walks nicely on a leash too. Xena is spayed fully vetted and microchipped.

Hugo was rescued fro a local shelter after an almost 8 mo stay and yet he is still just as sweet as can be. He is easy going and even walks nicely on a leash! AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SAMPSON - Sampson is a 4 year old, Red Nose pit. He is a rescue dog-found at a home very neglected and hungry for attention. We spent a lot of time nursing Samson back to health. We had him neutered, treated for heart worms, and got all his shots up to date. He started developing into a very sweet and healthy dog… Now, he is approx 85 pounds, very energetic, plays well with cats, and loves attention! He is a demanding dog when it comes to needing attention! He is very protective of his living space and his owner. He is a bit standoffish at first-until he gets to know you. I am unable to keep Samson anymore. I am not home as often as I need to be to give him the love and attention he needs and deserves! I believe that he needs a place where he can get outside more—run and play. Someone who can handle him—he is a big dog. He needs someone who has time to spend with him. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTIONJ.J. is an adorable 4 year old 90 lb Blue Dobie. He has a wonderful temperament and gets along well with other dogs, cats and children. He really loves his people! He has lived with a 4 year old and 3 year old child and has had no problems with them. JJ is housetrained and crate trained, he loves to play ball or chase sticks or water from the hose and to be with his people. JJ prefers to sleep in the bed under the covers but will settle for sleeping on the couch, preferably under a blanket. JJ does have color dilute alopecia which is very common in blue Dobermans, because of this he has some permanent hair loss and needs to be fed a quality dog food. He is looking for an active family that has time to spend with him. A canine friend in the house would be ideal. A person with prior large dog experience is required. He is a wonderful dog with many great qualities looking for his forever home.

Available for adoption Max is THE cutest 7 mo old, 19 lb Schnauzer mix. His family gave him up for financial reasons and its really there loss b/c he is a wonderful dog. He won the hearts of the shelter staff where we pulled him from and everyone at the vets office that neutered him is just as enamored! He loves to play and would do best with a similarly or larger sized canine companion, but he would be just as happy as the center of attention. It doesnt get much better than Max. Available   Maggie Maggie is an absolutely adorable 4 yr old "Peacock" (Pekingnese/ Cocker mix)  who was rescued from a rural kill shelter, where her fur was heavily matted and she had what seemed like hundreds of ticks all over her body. She has since been shaved and had all the tick picked off and boy is she feeling better! Its important to note that Maggie does normally have long whitish hair! While she currently weighs 29 lbs, she should probably weigh about 20 lbs! She is very quiet and loves to sleep in a crate. She is completely potty trained. Her favorite things are the big dogs at the foster home where she lives. She also plays by herself with balls and stuffed animals. She will shake them and throw them for herself to go and fetch. She is learning to trust her new humans and is slowly warming up to petting and treats. Even though she seems afraid she has never snapped or shown any aggression to people. She really loves to play with the other dogs but tends to play too rough for the little ones! . We are not sure how she would be with children but she would probably do best in a home with no children under 10.

Available for adoption   DREAMIE   Dreamy is a Rottweiler/Labrador mix that will loves to kiss and snuggle. Dreamy has had basic obedience training and knows how to sit, walk nicely on a leash, and chase cats. Actually, she wasn't taught to chase cats. That just comes naturally for her. She is approximately 3 years old, about 55 pounds, is crate-trained and house-trained. She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots. Dreamy would make an awesome companion for someone who wants a dog that is just right - not too big, not too small. Not scary, but not wimpy-looking either. Dreamy would love to make your dreams come true!

The Cherokee County Human Society rescued Charlie from the two kind people. then a nice lady named Joyce, offered to foster Charlie until someone could adopt him.Then thats when me and my mom came along! Me and my mom were taking care of Charlie for a week for Joyce, then we got attatched to him and could not stop loving him. So my dad told my mom that we needed to take Charlie in, and foster him. Joyce owns eleven dogs and counting, and we did not want to make her have  Charlie stay in a play pin , the big dogs would practically run over him if there was no play pin. So, we told Joyce that we wanted to foster Charlie for her. And she agreed! Now Charlie is in a happy home with people who love him! Charlie still needs your donations to help his health care!!

Available for adoption JOEY JOEY BREED: Basenji/Shepherd mix AGE: 1-1/2 years (I have a premature graying gene so I kind of look like an old man) WEIGHT: 36 lbs (I'm fully grown) PERKS: Rarely bark, minimal shedding/odor, require minimal grooming. Great size for apartment. HOUSETRAINING: Mostly crate and house trained. The few accidents he's had were in crate. TEMPERAMENT: Joey has several Basenji traits. Affectionate, curious, strong desire to please. Responds well to consistent training. Is intelligent and likes to tease so will require a strong leader. Forms strong bonds with people. Will do best with older considerate children and as an only pet or maybe another laid back dog. He's an indoor dog who dislikes wet weather. He's a clever climber and can easily get over chain wire fence. Requires 6' fence if let out to run. BOTTOM LINE: If you want a dog to put in your backyard and play with once in awhile, Joey's not the dog for you. But if you can give this a lot of time and love, you'll get it back tenfold. Joey's the ultimate snuggler and will be your most loyal companion.

AVAILABLE OLIVER Oliver is an very handsome 1 yr old Lab/Vizla mix weighing in at 50 lbs. He looks just like a black Vizla. He was rescued after a 7 month stint in a local shelter through no fault of his own though, just the "Curse of the Black Dog" that effects so many black dogs in shelters. He is a very sweet boy although understandably a tad shy. He absolutely LOVES other dogs and would love a home with a playful canine companion. he loves to play fetch and actually brings the ball back to you to throw it again! AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION   MAYA Maya is a stunning 4 yr old 20 lb purebred red Shiba Inu. Maya came from a home with 6 kids and that was just too much for her. She is a very easy going and mild mannered dog now that she is in a child free home. She does get along with similarly sized and smaller dogs but fines big dogs a tad intimidating. Available for adoption  Freddy is an absolutley adorable 5 yr old, 25 lb apricot colored "Dandi Poo" who was rescued from a local animal control facility where he came in as a stray and no one came to claim him. The poor guy was a mix of half shaved and half mats and covered in fleas. We have cleaned him up and he is feeling so much better!. Freddy has the body and head of a Dandi Dinmont and the curly coat and coloring of a poodle and he is just as cute as can be - sweet as a button too. He is really a nice little dog who is happy to snuggle in the bed, go for walks and take rides in the car. He is very content with his rawhides and will keep himself quietly busy!
